In the centre of the small dreamy Ligurian village of Torria lies Case Leone (pedestrian zone). Torria is encircled by lush olive groves and is just about 25 minutes away from the bustling harbour city of Imperia, with its many restaurants, bars, beaches and shops. In the centre of Torria itself you will find the excellent restaurant “La Remissa”, which will only too happily spoil you with its delicious local specialities. The traditionally furnished Casa Leone offers you comfortable temperatures, even in summer, due to its thick stonewalls. On the main floor there is a well-equipped kitchen, a large living room with dining area and pull out sofa, and a bathroom. Upstairs you will find the two bedrooms and a small balcony, with a fantastic view of the Impero valley and the Alpine foothills. Starting out from Torria, you can expect to find many pathways - perfect for walking or cycling tours - leading you exitedly onward through the remote and fascinating Ligurian countryside.

The ancient town of Chiusanico lies on a ridge, where oak and chestnut woods alternate with hills covered with olive groves. According to a tradition that is corroborated by some researchers, this was the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, although there is no general agreement among historians.

Torria is quietly located on a mountaintop above Chiusanico / Pontedassio, about 25 minutes from the sea and Imperia. It has a superb panoramic view of the valley. Torria offers some works of art that are well worth seeing: the drinking-trough beneath a sixteenth-century loggia, a bas-relief dated 1477 in the parish church of San Martino, the oratory of the Disciplinati della Santissima Annunziata and the sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve. This district is the venue for a biennial photography competition; the sports complex is equipped for fencing competitions.

You can take the path leading from an ancient stone wash-house in Torria and make your way up to the sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve and, passing through the woods, continue on to the San Giacomo pass and Monte Arosio.



A small grocer’s and two good restaurants are located nearby.

Just below Gazzelli, you can purchase the much awarded “Rocca di San Nicola” wine straight from the vineyard (Vermentino and Pigato). Excellent olive oil is also available, which is free of pesticides because it has been grown at altitudes above 400 m. This is also where lots of hiking or mountainbike trails start.

Keine Vorschläge. Alles was nötig war, war schon zu haben. Die beste Strände (meiner Meinung nach) sind in Andora. (aber es gibt nur wenige kostenlose und die sind "immer" überfühlt). Es lohnt sich auf jedem fall die "Künstlerstadt" Bussana Vecchia zu besuchen.

TV-SAT-Empfang für außeritalienische Programme sowie (alternativ) die Möglichkeit, Radio zu empfangen oder zumindest einen CD-Player hinzustellen, damit man in den 14 Tagen auch mal etwas Musik hören kann.

Wir waren dankbar für die Waschmaschine, den Wäscheständer, den Espressekocher und den Herd und Backofen und auch die Fliegenvorhänge-einfach klasse-keine weiteren Vorschläge. Ich finde Ihre Internetseite und alle Tipps super (Wanderungen, Sprachkurs, Strände-selbst zum Parken und Müll...) und ich fand es sehr angenehm und hilfreich, auch vor Ort in deutscher Sprache Kontakt aufnehmen zu können.

Die Ausstattung ist durchaus angemessen. Leider fehlten Eß-Messer. Es gab nur eins. San Remo als Ausflugsziel und Arma di Taggia als sehr guten freien Badestrand. DIe Buchung fand ich überaus angenehm automatisiert. Gutes Portal.

Garten gab es keinen und die Terasse war sehr klein. Allerdings mit sehr schönem Ausblick Das einzige Restaurant vor Ort direkt an der Kirche am Dorfplatz sollte man besuchen. Es macht Sinn einen Tisch zu reservieren Es ist uns aufgefallen, dass es an Informationsmaterial vor Ort und vor allem multilingual fehlt. Das gilt allerdings für die ganze Region.
