The beautiful village of Lecchiore is only a few minutes by car from the busy and bustling village of Dolcedo. Casa Bicocca has a quiet location in the Ligurian hinterland. It is ideally suited for mountainbikers and hikers, wishing to leave the stress of everyday life behind. With two bedrooms, a modern kitchen, two bathrooms and a spacious terrace, the house provides space for up to six persons. You can enjoy the lush panaromic view over the olive groves from the terrace, or refresh yourself in the crystal clear \"Laghetti Acqua Santa

Dolcedo lies in the middle of the Prino Valley and is the municipality with third highest amount of land given over to olive cultivation in the province of Imperia (30% of its territory). As an ancient feudal estate of the Clavesana family, the town began its expansion in the thirteenth century, when the Bishop of Albenga entrusted the church of San Tommaso to the friars of Lerins, who encouraged olive cultivation. This was the period in which the water-mills were built: the population then began to move out of the higher districts towards the riverside areas, including today's main district, which was at that time known as "Piazza" because it was a market town.


Dolcedo


In 1228, the feudal estate passed into the hands of the Republic of Genoa. The municipality became independent in 1613.

In the alleyways of the old town centre, you can see the old artisan shops, while the ancient weights and measures marks are still visible in what is known as the "suttu munte" loggia. The buildings along the Prino and the single-span bridge are remaining signs of the town's former prosperity. The excellent acoustics of the main square make it an ideal place for the concerts and shows that take place on the black-and-white pavement outside the parish church of San Tommaso. Although of mediaeval origin, the church has a colourful eighteenth-century façade: a Baroque canopy frames the fifteenth-century portal. Deep blue Baroque decorations can also be admired inside the church; it also contains some precious works from the Genoese school, including some paintings of the Virgin Mary over the apse, which are attributed to the Carrega brothers. The bell tower is one of the highest in the region. Other monuments to be seen are the Saracen tower, the oratory of San Lorenzo and the church of San Domenico.



In the district of Ripalta there is a characteristic bridge that was once the only means of access to the town. During his childhood, the poet Giovanni Boine stayed in Lecchiore, a district ensconced among the olive groves. Excursions beginning in Dolcedo take you to some places of great natural interest, including Monte Faldo (1149 m.) as well as historic interest, such as Monte Folia, where archaeological finds have been made. The sanctuary of Lampedusa has for centuries been a destination for pilgrims. Dolcedo has a special court where elastic ball is played. For those who love horse-riding there are many riding schools in the area.

Lecchiore


Lecchiore is a small medieval mountain town which is surrounded by olive groves and is located above Dolcedo. It is known for the Laghetti Acquasanta whose waters are said to have healing powers. Hiking is a popular pastime on cooler days and on warmers days the waters are great to cool off in.



Above the lake is a pilgrimage church from the 18th century dedicated to Maria dell’Acquasanta because Madonna is said to have descended here.

It would be useful to have a few tourist brochures or maps etc for guests' use during their stay. Alternatively, provision of WIFI would be great but I appreciate this may not be possible or financially viable!

Etwas stabilere Stühle, bei meinem Gewicht 100 kg hat man wenig vertrauen zu Kunstoff Keine, so ist es einfach toll. Die Pizzeria am Pferdehof ist gut. Die Mtarbeiter am Pferdehof sprechen sehr gut Deutsch und sin sehr hilfsbereit. San Remo ist uns zu voll gewesen. Der Stran in Andorra ist toll und preiswerter als in san remo Die Herren die den Garten hinter unserem Haus gepflegt haben, haben uns täglich mit Tomaten Zuccini und Gurken versorgt, diese waren einf erste Sahne. Nochmals vielen Dank.

Wir haben nichts vermisst. Wanderwege rund um Dolcedo, Cervo, Porto Maurizio. Wir haben uns auf Grund der absoluten Sauberkeit in diesem Ferienhaus so wohl gefühlt, wie lange nicht mehr in einem Haus. Das Haus ist schöner, als auf den Fotos dargestellt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden uns freuen, wenn sie uns für nächstes Jahr Hausvorschläge (ohne Haustiere) unterbreiten könnten.

Wir waren von ihrem Service, der Qualität der Dienstleistung, dem Mietobjekt und der Freundlichkeit der Vermieter und der Nachbarn einfach begeistert. In der Beschreibung währen Hinweise auf die Länge bzw. Dauer der Wegstrecke von/bis zum Ort Dolcedo nützlich. Hinweise auf die beengten Strassenverhältnisse zur Anfahrt und der schwierigen Parksituation vor Ort wären hilfreich. Die Schaffung eines zum Objekt gehörenden PKW-Abstellplatzes wäre gut!

The terrasse was wonderful. The public beaches in Imperia were good and I recommend them. Also, since there's only one restaurant in Lecchiore, it's a good idea to plan to eat before going home if dining out since it's a long way away from any restaurants, grocery stores.

War bestens ausgestattet Restaurant in Lecchiore sehr empfehlenswert. Festbesuch von Valoria fa Baldoria, Restaurant Vaschello in porto Maurizio am Bahnübergang sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, Bar daneben hat die besten Häppchen zum Apperitiv, Bussana Vecchio als Ausflug war sehr schön. Bin froh, dass man so unkomliziert im Raum Dolcedo Wohnungen mieten kann.
